As a 501(c)(3) organization, we are raising money to offer scholarships to those who are in a Reentry and Recovery program or anyone overcoming a personal battle who has a passion for becoming a Nail Tech to attend One Stop Beauty School and become a licensed Nail Technician. The foundation’s mission is to select a "Lotus Scholar" to learn a skill and earn an honest living while finding their purpose: helping others feel beautiful. 
 
The scholarship is named after the beautiful and resilient lotus flower, which has a life cycle unlike any other plant. With its roots latched in mud, it submerges every night into river water and miraculously re-blooms the following day, sparklingly clean. This process associates the flower with rebirth and spiritual enlightenment in many cultures. 
 
The hopeful story of the lotus is remarkably similar to that of Olivia Mae Fleming, a founding member who recently passed away.  Olivia struggled with drug addiction for many years and served in jail—she was fragile and unsure of her next steps. Through a mentorship with Bibi, Olivia found passion, confidence, and motivation. She started a successful career in the beauty field, and within two years, she purchased her first car and moved into her first apartment on her own.  Mournfully, she took her own life after a psychosis relapse on April 15th, 2021.
